People Moves 1/19: Country Morning Simulcast In Northern New England
“103.7 The Peak” WPKQ North Conway NH/Portland ME broke off of its simulcast of 97.5 WOKQ Dover NH in July 2015 to launch its own Country brand. The stations will recombine in mornings starting on Monday as “The Big Breakfast” with Bill Fox and Kira Lew will be syndicated from WOKQ to WPKQ. Current WPKQ morning host Annie Snook moves to middays.
iHeartMedia has eliminated Kelly Doherty’s position as Vice President of Imaging. Doherty had been with the company for 21 years including stops at 101.3 KDWB Minneapolis, Clear Channel South Florida, and KIIS-FM/KYSR Los Angeles before rising to her national role in 2011.
The Peoria Journal-Star reports that Marc Alghini has exited his role as PD/Morning Host at AAA 99.9 WWCT Bartonville IL after 4.5 years at the station. Alghini joined WWCT in 2013 from 93.1 WXRT Chicago where he hosted nights.
Cumulus Sports “The Score 1260” WSKO Syracuse NY has added a local afternoon show as Paul Esden moves from Executive Producer and update anchor for their midday “Bud & The Manchild Show” to host “Drive Time Sports” from 3-6pm. Esden replaces CBS Sports Radio’s Tiki & Tierney in that timeslot.
