107.9 Mix-FM KVLY Harlingen Rio Grande ValleyEntravision’s Rio Grande Valley cluster saw big cuts in late December as Rock “Q94.5 The Rock” KFRQ Harlingen morning hosts Big Al & Charlie, and CHR “107.9 Mix-FM” KVLY Edinburg morning hosts Alex Duran (who doubled as cluster Program Director) and Meridee Hernandez, KVLY midday host Mark Mayhem, and mixer DJ IZK all exited.

KVLY has added the syndicated Kidd Kraddick Morning Show as of Monday, January 22.

Hubbard Sports “101 Sports” WXOS East St. Louis IL has announced the return of Michelle Smallmon to the station as part of the station’s Bernie Miklasz morning show and as a columnist for the station’s website. Smallmon previously produced Miklasz’ show from 2009-2015 before joining ESPN Radio as a producer where she most recently produced The Ryen Rusillo Show.

James Steele, afternoon host at Alpha Media CHR “107.1 The Monkey” WXYK Gulfport/Biloxi MS has announced he is leaving at the end of this week for an undisclosed position elsewhere.

Premiere Networks’ syndicated host Buck Sexton has added a history podcast on iHeartRadio. “Shields High” is described as Sexton exploring “the epic struggles that could have extinguished the Western world as we know it”.

Premiere Networks and Buck Sexton, national media personality and host of the syndicated talk radio program The Buck Sexton Show, announced today the launch of a new, history-themed podcast, Shields High. Available now on iHeartRadio, the original podcast hosted by Sexton explores the epic struggles that could have extinguished the Western world as we know it. Shields High features stories of valiant last stands of armies led by champions from Charles Martel to Don Juan of Austria where the West fought back and won. The series explores those heroes and the momentous battles that reverberate from ancient times to the present.
