FCC Actions

97.1 The Ticket Pensacola WTKE-FMLast week the FCC dismissed the License to Cover for Omni Broadcasting’s to complete the relocation of 97.1 W246BN Atmore AL to Pensacola FL over multiple FCC violations including insufficient fee payments, delinquent debts, or debarment. This week the issues continued to pile up for the translator as Omni was issued a Notice of Violation for multiple violations including operating approximately 40 miles from the location authorized on the Station’s license and that W246BN was originating programing instead of retransmitting programing from its associated station. W246BN was licensed to rebroadcast La Promesa Foundation’s Catholic 1230 WDWR Pensacola but most recently was operating as Sports “The Ticket” and is still listed as such on the station’s website.
