iHeartMedia Adult Hits “The River 105.9” WHCN Hartford CT has appointed David Fisch as morning host starting Wednesday, February 21.
Fisch most recently served as APD/Morning co-host at Full Power Radio Alternative “Radio 104.1” WMRQ Waterbury/Hartford prior to his exit last October. He has also served as a producer for ESPN Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” during his career.
iHeartMedia Hartford announced today that David Fisch has been named morning show host for The River 105.9, Variety of the 70s 80s and more, effective February 21. Fisch will broadcast on weekdays 5 – 10 AM.
Fisch will broadcast the greatest music of the 70s, 80s, and more from artists like Fleetwood Mac, Def Leppard, Journey, Bon Jovi and more. Additionally, he’ll inform with the latest in national and local news, weather and traffic.
“After a long national search to find the perfect host for The River morning show, he’s right here in Hartford,” said Dave Symonds, VP Programming for iHeartRadio. “Fisch has years of experience entertaining the Hartford audience and being completely engaged in the local community.”

Fisch joins The River 105.9 from another radio group, where he most recently served as Assistant Program Director and morning co-host. He also served as the Producer for The Herd with Colin Cowherd on ESPN. He began his career at Q102 in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Villanova University.
