Federated Media is making adjustments to Country “K105” 105.1 WQHK-FM Huntertown/Fort Wayne IN as half of its airstaff departs and its General Sales Manager demoted.
As first reported by Indiana Radio Watch, morning co-host Dude Walker and afternoon host Aricka McCauley have exited WQHK-FM. Walker joined the station as night host in 1994 and moved to mornings in 1998. McCauley has hosted afternoons since 2014 after joining WQHK from CHR “U93” WNDV-FM South Bend. Morning co-hosts Dan Austin and Kylie Havens remain in place.
Off the air, Suzee Leavell is demoted from General Sales Manager to account executive with General Manager Jim Allgeier taking her GSM duties on an interim basis. Leavell has served as GSM in two terms since 2007 with the exception of a nine month stint across town at Adams Radio Group in 2014/2015.
After 42 years with Entercom Hot AC 96.5 WTIC-FM Hartford CT, John Elliott has announced he will retire from his role as newscaster this summer.
Aaron Traylor has announced he will be syndicating himself into middays on the “Wild 104” network of translators heard on 104.5 Billings, 104.1 Missoula, and 97.9 Kalispell MT.
Traylor currently serves as Mixshow Coordinator for Midwest Communications CHR “i106.7” WNFN Nashville TN and COO of Premier Events. He has also programmed “103.3 Kiss-FM” KSAS-FM Boise and “107.5 Zoo-FM” KENR Missoula and voicetracked for additional markets for both Clear Channel and Townsquare Media.
