Cox Media Group has appointed Tina Commodore as Integrated News Driector for News/Talk 740 KRMG Tulsa/102.3 KRMG-FM Sand Springs OK and “Fox 23” KOKI-TV Tulsa.
Commodore has served as News Director of KOKI-TV since November 2016 as the move continues the integration between Cox Media Group’s radio and television properties.
Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Tina Commodore Integrated News Director for the converged Tulsa market. In her new role, she will drive news content for trusted TV and radio brands, including FOX 23 News and News 102.3 and AM740 KRMG.
“This new role will be responsible for integrating two powerful news brands across all platforms,” said Cathy Gunther, CMG Market Vice President for Tulsa, Okla. “Tina is a talented leader and will have a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at the way we gather and cover news across our Radio, TV and digital platforms in Tulsa.”
Commodore joined FOX 23 as News Director in November 2016. The FOX affiliate ranks as the No. 1 local news station among Adults 25-54 and has a strong presence across multiple platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.

Prior to joining CMG Tulsa, Commodore served as Managing Editor for WSB-TV in Atlanta, Ga. In that role, she helped lead daily operation of the newsroom and coverage of breaking news events. She also has served as Manager of Coverage and Content for the award-winning station.
Commodore is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and she has an extensive background in news broadcasting. She also volunteers for a number of organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

Hubbard Radio’s “Country 98.9” KNUQ Seattle has appointed Tori Dunn as Promotions and Marketing Director. Dunn moves to KNUQ from sister AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM where she was serving as Promotions and Marketing Coordinator.

Westwood One has announced the addition of a number of new hosts for its 24/7 formats.
Marconi, most recently hosting nights at Alternative 101.1 WKQX Chicago, returns to Rock 2.0. Jay Coffey will return to Classic Hits for middays. Tony Scott will return to nights on Classic Rock. Lynn Briggs joins the network as afternoon host for AC.
Westwood One, the largest radio network in the U.S., welcomes back three well-known on-air personalities to the network’s 24/7 Formats division — Marconi, Jay Coffey, and Tony Scott — plus welcomes veteran Lynn Briggs to the network roster.
Marconi, a rock legend in his own right, returns home to Westwood One’s Rock 2.0. Marconi also worked at WKQX/Chicago, KUFO/Portland, and KNDD/Seattle.
Jay Coffey is well-known for playing the hits in Los Angeles for over 28 years on KIQQ and on K-EARTH 101, where he became Music Director, Assistant Program Director, and eventually Program Director. Coffey also worked at KBSG/Seattle, KFRC/San Francisco, and MAX-FM/San Diego. Coffey is returning to Classic Hits, middays.
Tony Scott has worked for some of America’s biggest radio stations, including 95-5 KLOS, K-Earth 101, and 100.3 The Sound, all in Los Angeles. Scott also worked for over 25 years on Westwood One’s Classic Rock format, where he is returning as nighttime host.
Nevada Radio Hall of Fame veteran Lynn Briggs is taking on AC, afternoons. Briggs worked in many of the largest markets in the country as a program director, music director, and on-air personality – including WJLB/WMXD/WHYT in Detroit, KJLH/Los Angeles, WQHT/New York, KOAI/Dallas, KOAS/KDWN/Las Vegas, and KSBL/Santa Barbara.
Completing the new Westwood One 24/7 Formats division hires are: Classic Hits — Alan Craig, mornings; Bryan Jester, nights, and Joyce Jefferson, nights; Classic Rock — Whip, mornings and Maria Danza, middays; Hot AC-A – Chuck Clark, afternoons and Kairee Burnor, nights; Hot AC – Carson, nights; AC – Maria Miller, afternoons; AC-B – Brian Curry, nights; and Rock — Eddie Barella, middays.
