Curtis Media Country 94.7 WQDR Raleigh NC has appointed Mike Biddle as Program Director following the death of Lisa McKay.
This marks the third tour at Curtis Media Raleigh for Biddle who first hosted nights and later moved up to APD/MD/Midday host from 2002-2007 under the name ‘Mad Dawg’. After programming and hosting mornings at Inner Banks Media’s “Thunder Country 96.3” WRHT Greenville NC from 2007-2010 he returned to Curtis to Program CHR “Pulse-FM” 96.9 WWPL Goldsboro/102.5 WPLW Hillsborough from 2010-2016. He most recently served as Operations Manager at Raleigh based digital marketing agency Heart+Hammer. His career started working under McKay at CHR “Q94” WRVQ Richmond VA.
Curtis Media Group has hired Mike Biddle as Program Director of WQDR-FM/Raleigh, NC. He succeeds Lisa McKay, who passed away after a brief illness in January. Biddle started his career at WRVQ in Richmond, and joined WQDR in 2002. He served as assistant program director and music director at WQDR, before departing to become program director of Inner Banks Media WRHT/WRHD Country in Greenville-New Bern. In 2010, he returned to Curtis Media Group Raleigh to become program director of Top 40 station WWPL/WPLW. In 2016, Biddle left the company to become operations manager at Heart + Hammer, a digital marketing and strategy agency based in Raleigh.
