For the third year in a row, Hubbard Radio News 103.5 WTOP-FM Washington DC is the top revenue generating radio station.
WTOP’s revenue rose from $67.5 million in 2016 to $67.8 million in 2017. The same ten stations that placed in the top ten a year ago remained atop the leaderboard although the order has changed a bit. iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles held at the #2 spot although dropping from $65.9 million to $63.2 in revenue. After that there was a steep drop to $45 million in revenue for the third place tie between iHeart’s CHR “Z100” WHTZ New York and Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG Los Angeles. AC “106.7 Lite-FM” WLTW New York rose from eighth to fifth with $43 million. The remainder of the top ten included Entercom Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York, News 1010 WINS New York, 880 WCBS New York, 780 WBBM/105.9 WCFS Chicago, and iHeartMedia News/Talk 640 KFI Los Angeles.
