Robert Feder reports that Entercom Classic Hip-Hop “104.3 Jams” WBMX Chicago will have Diana Steele voicetrack middays from her studio in the Bay Area until a permanent host is found later this year. The Chicago native previously worked in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets and is best known as the announcer of the Arsenio Hall Show in the 1990s.
Yale Broadcasting Company Urban AC 94.3 WYBC-FM New Haven CT has promoted APD/Afternoon Host ‘Banesha B’ to Program Director and Music Director/Midday Host Wanda Coppage to Assistant Program Director. The station claims that it is the first time a commercial station in Connecticut has had an all-female programming management team.
iHeartMedia Tucson has announced that it has promoted Online Content Coordinator Atzimba Palomares Barriga to Digital Content Coordinator for the cluster and Nick Bruns will join the cluster from Des Moines as Promotions and Events Director.
iHeartMedia announced today that Atzimba Palomares Barriga has been named Digital Program Director for Tucson, effective June 1. iHeartMedia Tucson has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing seven stations comprised of music, talk and sports formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Digital Program Director, Palomares Barriga will be responsible for managing and executing digital and social media campaigns for all iHeartMedia Tucson stations. She will report to David Adams, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Tucson. In addition to her new role, Palomares Barriga will continue to provide online content to the entire iHeartMedia Arizona Region under the direction of Alex Siordian, Regional Digital Program Director for iHeartMedia’s Arizona Region.
“Atzimba is extremely talented and very passionate about her work.” said Adams. “Having worked in Tucson and Phoenix her entire career, she truly understands the market. This is a well- deserved promotion and we’re very excited for the new digital campaigns she’ll be creating for our stations.”

Palomares Barriga began her career at iHeartMedia Tucson in 2013 as a board operator. She has served as the Tucson-based Online Content Coordinator for iHeartMedia’s Arizona Region for three years. Palomares Barriga is a graduate of the University of Arizona.

His background also includes working for stations in St. Louis, Missouri. Bruns began his career at iHeartMedia and is a graduate of Lindenwood University.
