Alpha Media has named Dave Numme as Content Director for Classic Hits “94.5 Bay-FM” KBAY and Hot AC “Mix 106” 106.5 KEZR San Jose.
Numme most recently programmed “Rock 98.9” KVRQ Seattle until its flip to Country in December. He programmed Rock 101.1 KUFO Portland from 1991-2006 eventually rising to Operation Manager for the then CBS Radio (now Alpha) Portland cluster. He later served as VP/Rock & Alternative for CBS Radio and PD of Alternative “Live 105” KITS.
Numme supplants Ronnie Stanton as KBAY/KEZR PD. Stanton will remain as VP/Content for Alpha but relocated back to his native Australia in March.

Upon discovering an undeniable passion for radio while still in high school, Dave never needed to figure out what to do with his professional life. His career led him to multiple stations in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. In 1991, Dave was hired as the first Program Director for Rock 101 KUFO, in Portland where he led the station for over 15 years. As Operations Director he oversaw multiple stations for the CBS Portland cluster including formats in Modern AC, 80’s Hits, Classic Hits, and Talk. Numme returned to San Francisco in 2006 as VP of Rock/Alternative formats and Program Director at Live 105 KITS. Most recently he resided in Seattle at Hubbard Radio.
