Entercom Country “Buz’n 102.9” KMNB Minneapolis has promoted Lucas Phelan from Assistant Program Director to Program Director.
Phelan joines KMNB in October 2016 from iHeartMedia CHR 101.3 KDWB where he served as APD/MD/Afternoon Host and PD of Classic Hip-Hop “Hot 102.5” K273BH Fridley. Prior to coming to Minneapolis in 2005, Phelan worked in the Omaha and Kansas City markets.
Phelan fills the opening created by Lauren Macleash’s exit earlier this year.
Entercom, the #1 creator of live, original, local audio content in the United States, elevated Lucas Phelan to the role of Program Director for BUZ’N @ 102.9 (KMNB-FM) in Minneapolis. This is in addition to Phelan’s on-air role. Phelan was previously the Assistant Program Director for the station.
“We’re proud to promote and develop talent at Entercom Minneapolis. As the former Assistant Program Director of KMNB and as on-air host, Lucas has a great understanding of our market and a deep connection to our community,” said Shannon Knoepke, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Minneapolis. “He has truly earned this leadership role and we look forward to the brand’s continued growth.”
“The opportunity to ascend to the role of Program Director in a format I love, for a company like Entercom, in my favorite town on planet earth and with a team that is absolutely incredible is a dream come true,” said Lucas. “I’d like to thank Shannon and Andy Bloom for their faith in me.”
Lucas is a seasoned radio professional with over 17 years of experience in the industry.
