iHeartMedia CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC has filled its evening opening with the addition of Emily Sklar.
Sklar joins WIHT from iHeart’s “Channel 95.5” WKQI Detroit where she hosted middays since November 2015. She began her career at WKQI as an intern and producer on “Mojo in the Morning” before taking the midday slot.
Sklar fills the evening opening at WIHT created by Elizabethany’s move to afternoons last year.
iHeartMedia announced today that Emily Sklar has been named new On-Air Personality for Hot 99.5, D.C.’s No. 1 Hit Music Station & Home of The Kane Show, effective Monday, May 14th, 2018. Sklar will broadcast weeknights from 7 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Sklar’s show is a high energy, fast-paced music intensive show and features the latest hits from artists like Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers and more.

Before taking over middays, she began her career as an intern for “Mojo in The Morning” on the station. Sklar is a graduate of Michigan State University.
