iHeartMedia has announced the hiring of Amy Griesheimer as Denver Region Area President overseeing the company’s stations in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Cheyenne WY, and Ogallala NE.
Griesheimer has spent most of her career in the Denver market moving up from General Sales Manager of Hot AC “Alice 106” KALC in from its launch in 1994 to spending 16 years as VP/Market Manager for Entercom’s cluster until her exit last October. During her time with Entercom she also oversaw their Madison and Seattle properties in the mid-2000s.
Griesheimer will be based in Fort Collins and report to Denver Region President Tim Hager.
iHeartMedia announced today that Amy Griesheimer has been named Area President for the Denver Region, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Denver has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than 29 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Area President, Griesheimer will work with the programming and sales teams for radio brands in Fort Collins; Colorado Springs; Ogallala, Nebraska; and Cheyenne, Wyoming to oversee on- air and digital programming as well as create new business and revenue opportunities. She will work closely with the iHeartMedia Denver Senior Vice President of Sales, Ryan Clune, and Senior Vice President of Programming, JoJo Turnbeaugh, as well as Colorado Springs Market President, Samantha Kumm. Griesheimer will report to Tim Hager, President for iHeartMedia’s Denver Region and will be based in Fort Collins.

Griesheimer is an industry veteran who brings 29 years of broadcast radio experience to her new role. Her extensive background includes a variety of Vice President, Director of Sales, General Manager and Market Manager positions at stations in Denver, Seattle and Madison, Wisconsin. Griesheimer’s numerous recognitions include being twice nominated for Radio Wayne Awards by Radio Ink. She began her career at KSPN-FM in Aspen, Colorado and graduated from the NAB Executive Development Program for Radio Broadcasters program, which is a part of the Georgetown University McDonough school of Business Executive Education program.
