iHeartMedia CHR “Q102” WIOQ Philadelphia has announced the addition of Rachel Viggiano as 10am-3pm host.
Viggiano, who will use the on-air name ‘Rach’, most recently served as morning co-host as Townsquare Media’s “Cat Country 107.3” WPUR Atlantic City and also served in the same role at “Kickin Country 105.3” WKPQ-FM Hornell NY.
Viggiano fills the opening created by the exit of Casey Reed in April. Program Director Jared Fallon has concurrently moved from middays to afternoons.
iHeartMedia announced today that Rachel “Rach” Viggiano will host Middays for Q102 Philly, Philly’s #1 Hit Music Station, effective immediately. Viggiano will broadcast weekdays, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. She will also be an integral part of Q102 Philly social and digital team.
“On the search for our next star, I was looking for someone who’s passionate about our brand and engaged in the lifestyle of our audience, so as soon as I met Rach I knew she was exactly what Q102 Philly needed!” said Jared Fallon, Q102 Philly Program Director. “Between her upbeat energy and humor, she is the perfect fit for our listeners.”
“I can’t even begin to put into words how excited and honored I am to come back home to Philly and work for my dream radio station that I grew up listening to – Q102 Philly,” said Rach. “ I feel a true connection to the market and I’m genuinely excited to work with some of the most talented people in the industry.”
Rach joins the Philadelphia market from WPUR-FM, in Atlantic City, New Jersey where she most recently served as the On-Air Morning Show Host. She began her career as an On-Air Morning Show Host for WKPQ-FM in Corning, New York and is a graduate of Syracuse University.
