Entercom has announced the appointment of Stephanie Perl as its new SVP/Market Manager for its Hartford CT operations.
Perl, who joins the company from the Local Sales Manager position at Tribune Broadcasting’s CW affiliate “CT 20” WCCT-TV and “Fox 61” WTIC-TV Hartford, becomes the third market manager in the cluster in less than a year. Mark Hannon, who ran the cluster for CBS Radio prior to the merger with Entercom, dropped oversight to focus just on Boston upon closing of the deal. Phil Zachary then came in from Entercom’s previous Boston cluster until he transferred to Washington DC in May.
Despite coming from television, Perl spent 17 years in the building eventually rising to General Sales Manager for Rhythmic CHR “Hot 93.7” WZMX and Hot AC 96.5 WTIC-FM between 1999 and 2016. She will also oversee AC “Lite 100.5” WRCH and News/Talk 1080 WTIC in her new posiiton.

In this role, she will be overseeing 1080 WTIC News Talk (WTIC-AM), 96.5 TIC FM (WTIC-FM), HOT 93.7 (WZMX-FM) and Lite 100.5 (WRCH-FM). Perl previously served as local television Sales Manager for Tribune Broadcasting’s Fox and CW television affiliates in Hartford, WTIC and WCCT.

While at Tribune, Perl was instrumental in establishing the new broadcast location in New Haven and secured several exclusive strategic partnerships that participated in cross-media integration with Tribune Media. Prior to that, Perl spent seventeen years at CBS Radio Hartford, rising from an account executive to a General Sales Manager. Perl was responsible for the combined sales assets of WTIC-FM, WZMX, WRCH and WTIC-AM. Concurrent to her sales management activities and responsibilities, Perl also held several leadership positions for the company’s key initiatives, including Director of Strategic Development managing non-traditional revenue, and point person for CBS Interactive, and CBS’ EcoMedia Division.
