Rudy Rush has departed afternoons at iHeartMedia Urban “93.7 The Beat” KQBT Houston to focus on his comedy career for now. Rush previously hosted the syndicated “Afternoon Rush” that took the place of the Doug Banks Show following Banks’ passing in 2016. With his exit, midday host Carmen Contreras has moved to afternoons with Ashlee Young currently listed in the 9am-2pm slot.
After 29 years with CHR “Z102.9” KZIA Cedar Rapids, Scott Schulte is exiting as morning host on September 7 to relocate to Connecticut to be with his fiancee. Current co-host Clare Duffy will be paired with Dancin’ Eric Hanson for the rebranded “Morning Scramble” starting Monday, September 10.
Sean Cash is departing Curtis Media Country 94.7 WQDR Raleigh NC where he served as APD/Imaging Director and midday host since 2015 for a yet to be announced position.
After just six months as Senior Director of News & Public Affairs at Western New York Public Broadcasting Association, Dave Rosenthal has exited. Rosenthal, who oversaw the news department for Public News/Talk 88.7 WBFO, Classical 94.5 WNED-FM and WNED-TV Buffalo was replaced on the radio side by former 930 WBEN anchor Dave Debo according to the Buffalo News.
