Entercom Classic Hits 98.7 KLUV Dallas will make a morning show change as Texas Radio Hall of Famer Jody Dean will step down at the end of this week.
Dean is emphasizing that he is not retiring nor leaving KLUV. He has hosted mornings at KLUV since replacing Ron Chapman in 2005 and is currently accompanied by Rebekah Black and David Rancken. He has previously hosted middays at 1080 KRLD, served as Chapman’s producer and co-host at 103.7 KVIL, was a host and news anchor at “CBS 11” KTVT, and public address announcer for the Dallas Cowboys.
The station will introduce Dean’s replacement on Thursday, September 27 who will then take over the show starting Monday, October 1.
I am not retiring. In fact, I'm not even leaving KLUV. I am, however, leaving The KLUV Morning Show – and after 13 years, this will be my last week as part of it. Thursday you'll meet my replacement, and Friday I'll have a few more things to say. I hope you'll listen then.
