With the team owned Red Zebra Broadcasting selling Sports “ESPN 980” WTEM Washington DC earlier this year, the NFL’s Washington Redskins have now partnered with is longtime competitor.
As part of the wide ranging deal, Sports “106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM will rebrand its “Football Fridays” as “Redskins Football Fridays” with members of the franchise now participating as guests and “The Sports Junkies Pregame Show” will air from the stadium. Urban 95.5 WPGC will include Redskins players on its afternoon show “The Home Team with DJ Flexx” and Spanish CHR “El Zol 107.9” WLZL will have a Redskins preview feature during its morning show on Fridays at 7:40am.
Additionally Spanish Sports “El Zol Deportes” 1580 WJFK will become the Spanish language flagship for Redskins game broadcasts Juan Romero and Moises Linares on the call. Evening games will also air on WLZL.
Redskins game broadcasts will remain on 980 WTEM and Cumulus Media Conservative Talk 630 WMAL/105.9 WMAL-FM.
Entercom, the unrivaled leader in sports radio, and the Washington Redskins, today announced a new broadcast partnership. As part of the agreement, Entercom Washington D.C. stations will provide coverage of the team across all of their platforms.
Spanish broadcasts of all Washington Redskins football games will be heard on El Zol Deportes (WJFK-AM) in Washington D.C., as well as the station’s website, elzoldeportes.com, a part of the Radio.com network, on the Radio.com app and on the Redskins mobile app. Radio.com is the exclusive digital home for all Entercom content across the company’s robust portfolio of 235 radio stations. In addition to Spanish language game broadcasts, 106.7 The Fan (WJFK-FM), 94.7 Fresh FM (WIAD-FM), El Zol 107.9 (WLZL-FM) and WPGC 95.5 FM (WPGC-FM) will provide ancillary coverage of the team.

106.7 The Fan and El Zol Deportes on-air personality Juan Romero and Telemundo’s Moises Linares will provide play-by-play and game analysis for all broadcasts. All primetime games will also air in Spanish on El Zol 107.9.
