Beasley Announces ESports Initiative; Acquires Checkpoint Radio Show
Beasley Media Group has become the first radio group to invest heavily into ESports.
The company has announced a “Beasley XP” initiative to invest and promote the growing competitive electronic gaming industry. As part of Beasley XP, the company has acquired the weekly syndicated Checkpoint Radio show. The two hour program currently airs in 60 markets including on Beasley’s “97.5 The Fanatic” WPEN-FM Philadelphia and “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Boston and is hosted by Nathan Bender, Norris Howard, Robbie Landis and Joe Sloan.
Beasley Media Group has announced the exciting launch of the company’s new Esports initiative, BEASLEY XP and the acquisition of the only internationally syndicated Esports gaming lifestyle radio show, CHECKPOINT RADIO. The announcement was made on Tuesday, October 2nd during the 2018 Esports Business Summit at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CHECKPOINT, a weekly two-hour show that is also found on the twitch platform, features Co-hosts Nathan Bender, Norris Howard, Robbie Landis and Joe Sloan. The program can currently be heard on Beasley Media Group’s WBZ-FM/98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, and 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia as well as 58 other markets across the United States and Canada on Westwood One.
