Giselle Ugarte is exiting her role as morning co-host at Go Radio Alternative “Go 96.3” KQGO Edina/Minneapolis and Digital Brand Manager for KQGO and Urban “Go 95.3” KZGO St. Paul.
Ugarte will join Minneapolis based Media Bridge Advertising as Director of Marketing. She joined KQGO’s morning show in June 2016 and added the digital duties this past May. She has also worked on-air at DashRadio and as an on-camera and digital ambassador for multiple companies in Los Angeles. She explained her decision to leave in a lengthy blog post on the station’s website.
Ben Holsen and Dana Wessel remain in place in mornings at KQGO.
Media Bridge Advertising announced today that GO 96.3 morning radio host and nationally known multimedia personality Giselle Ugarte will be the agency’s new director of marketing. Ugarte will oversee Media Bridge’s efforts to help brands tell authentic stories that engage consumers on a personal level and deliver high ROI on their social, digital and traditional marketing efforts.
Ugarte brings a wealth of experience as a face, voice and strategic force behind many national and international brands, including Buzzfeed, CoverGirl, E! Entertainment, Entertainment Tonight, Hollywire, Proactiv+, The Today Show (Australia) and most recently GO 96.3. As Media Bridge’s marketing director, Ugarte will bring her innovative media philosophy to Media Bridge’s clients, as well as to the agency itself. With more than 350,000 social media followers and an extensive background in TV, radio, PR, events and experiential marketing, Ugarte believes passionately in the idea that to unleash a brand’s full power, it must speak with an authentic voice that forges intimate connections with individual consumers.
“I knew Giselle was a perfect fit for Media Bridge from the moment I met her, and I can’t think of anyone who more perfectly embodies the present and future of media than her,” says Media Bridge Founder Tracy Call. “She’s become a true influencer by being a masterful storyteller in front of the camera and behind the scenes, and we’re beyond excited to see her bring that unique talent to us and our clients.”
In addition to her new role as director of marketing for Media Bridge, Ugarte will remain deeply involved with various nonprofit organizations. She’s currently a gymnastics coach and member of Young Professionals Board for Special Olympics, an ambassador for Midwest Special Services and Secondhand Hounds, and a member of the Advisory Council for Best Christmas Ever. She will also continue to grow her personal brand as a “confidence curator” – a content creator, digital influencer, and keynote speaker – who encourages others to find their authentic voice and tell their stories.
“Today, you can’t succeed as a person or a brand unless you let people in and show who you really are, because perfection is annoying and unattainable,” says Ugarte. “I’m excited to bring that mindset to Media Bridge and its clients, and I’m thrilled to have a mentor like Tracy, who has turned the industry on its ear and built an amazingly positive culture at Media Bridge.”
