As first indicated in our Domain Insight report earlier today, Entercom has flipped Urban AC “95.9 RNB” K240EL/KKMJ-HD3 Austin to Classic Hip-Hop “Hot 95.9“.
The station is promoting itself as home of “curated throwback hits from the 90s and 2000s” with core artists including Snoop Dogg, Beyoncé, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. The station registered a 1.5 share in the September Nielsen Audio ratings with its now former Urban AC format.
Entercom, the #1 creator of live, original, local audio content in the United States, today announced the launch of HOT 95.9 (KKMJ-HD3) in Austin, TX. The station will provide the Austin region with curated throwback hits from the 1990s and 2000s from artists like Snoop Dogg, Beyoncé, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

HOT 95.9 will celebrate its launch by playing continuous blocks of 95 minute back-to-back throwbacks, starting at 3:00 p.m. CT today. HOT 95.9 replaces 959 RNB.
Listeners can tune in to HOT 95.9 (KKMJ-HD3) in Austin on air, as well as nationwide on the RADIO.COM app and website.
