KVOO-FM, Tulsa’s premier country variety station, recently announced the addition of Amber Glaze as music director and afternoon drive host.
“Amber brings ideas and energy, along with her passion for country music,” said Brian Jennings, KVOO program director. “We waited for the right candidate to come along, and we’re so excited she’s finally here. Her bright demeanor, silly sense of humor and trademark boisterous laugh make for an invaluable addition to the KVOO team.”
Glaze got her start at 105.9 KLAZ in Hot Springs, Arkansas and also previously served as a morning co-host alongside Phil Thompson on 104.5 The Fox in Wichita, Kansas. Three years ago she moved home to Little Rock, Arkansas to create and host Hot Mess in the Morning on 106.7 The Ride KHLR. Glaze received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas, where she studied music and theater.
“I’m so happy to be in Tulsa and with the great team at KVOO,” Glaze said. “It will be a blast to wake up with the community, which has been so kind and enthusiastic.”
A woman of many talents, Glaze is a professional cake designer, stand-up comedian and songwriter.
