Beasley Media Group has promoted a pair of their Boston programmers to National Format Brand Managers for the company.
“98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Program Director Mike Thomas and “Country 102.5” WKLB PD David Corey have been elevated to the new position for Spoken Word and Country respectively. The pair join “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC Detroit PD John Candelaria overseeing Urban, “Hot 96.9” WBQT Boston PD ‘Cadillac Jack’ McCartney overseeing AC and CHR, and 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia PD Bill Weston overseeing Rock at that level.
Thomas’ Spoken Word oversight will include all Beasley Talk and Sports stations as well as the company’s podcasting and E-Sports initiatives.

As the National Format Brand Manager for Spoken Word formats, Thomas will work closely with Sports Programming, Talk, Podcasting and Esports content. In his new role, David Corey will focus on Beasley Media Group’s country format stations throughout the company.
Thomas and Corey will continue to oversee their respective local market stations, while also focusing on their newly expanded roles.
