An Ultra Launch In Richmond
Mobile Radio Partners has debuted Spanish CHR “Ultra 94.1” 1540 WULT Sandston/94.1 W231DP Richmond VA.
Promoted as Richmond’s first Spanish language FM, the station is being overseen by OM Selvin Paredes and Program Director Demetrio Flores. The station had been simulcasting co-owned Oldies “Boomtown 92.9” 1450 WBTL/92.9 W225CU Highland Springs.
Mobile Radio Partners Inc., out of Richmond, Virginia, has announced the debut of Ultra, 94.1 FM and 1540 AM, Richmond’s first spanish FM radio station. Owner, Michael Mazursky started the first AM Spanish radio station in Richmond in 2000, and says of Ultra, “I’m so proud to bring the large hispanic community it’s first FM, and the reaction so far has been spectacular.” General Manager, Claire Shaffner has said, “We own the baby boomer and Hispanic market in Richmond”. The Program Director is Demetrio Flores, and the Operations Manager is Selvin Paredes. Flores has said of Ultra’s quick success, “It’s incredible to have close to 800 Facebook followers after just 7 weeks on air.”
