Lance Tidwell Joins Cumulus Detroit As Director Of FM Programming

Nash-FM 93.1 NashFM WDRQ DetroitCumulus Media has announced the addition of Lance Tidwell to serve as Director of FM Programming.

Tidwell, who fills the opening created by Robbie Bridges exit to relocate closer to his family, will oversee programming of Country “Nash-FM 93.1” WDRQ and Hot AC 96.3 WDVD. He joins Cumulus after spending six months as Operations Manager for Townsquare Media Fort Collins CO.

Tidwell joined Townsquare from Cumulus Kansas City where he served as Operations Manager from 2016 until earlier this year. He has also served as Senior VP/Programming for iHeartMedia in San Antonio and Tucson while programming Country stations in Hartford, Boise, Memphis, Monterey, and Columbia SC.

CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has appointed programming professional Lance Tidwell as Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Detroit, which includes: Country station WDRQ (NASH FM 93.1) and Hot AC station WDVD (96.3 WDVD). Tidwell replaces Robbie Bridges, who is moving back east after a successful five-year run in Detroit.

Tidwell brings 30 years of programming experience to Cumulus Detroit, and previously served as Operations Manager for Cumulus Kansas City. Tidwell was most recently Operations Manager for Townsquare Media’s four-station cluster in Fort Collins, CO. He was also SVP, Programming, for iHeartMedia in the Tucson, AZ, and San Antonio, TX markets, and was Program Director for Country stations including: WWYZ in Hartford, CT; KKWF in Seattle, WA; KQFC in Boise, ID; and WGKX in Memphis, TN.
