iHeartMedia has promoted Winchester/Harrisonburg VA Market President Chuck Peterson to Area President also adding oversight of the company’s Roanoke/Lynchburg stations.
iHeartMedia announced today that Chuck Peterson has been elevated to Area President for the Winchester, Harrisonburg and Roanoke-Lynchburg markets, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Virginia/Carolina has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital. Peterson’s area encompasses sixteen news, talk, sports and music format stations.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Area President, Peterson will be responsible for leveraging iHeartMedia Winchester, Harrisonburg and Roanoke-Lynchburg’s radio station brands and assets to provide quality programming as well as new revenue growth opportunities. Peterson will report to Dave Carwile, President of iHeartMedia’s Virginia/Carolina Region.

Peterson is promoted to Area President after serving as Market President for the Winchester and Harrisonburg markets. He began his career at WFTR in Front Royal and is a graduate of American University and William & Mary Law School.
