Cumulus Media CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Kansas City is adding the syndicated “Bert Show” for mornings on Monday, January 14.
The addition of the Bert Show comes as former KCHZ morning host Brodie exits after ten years with the station that he also served as APD/MD at. Brodie is returning to Myrtle Beach SC to program iHeartMedia CHR “Mix 97.7” WWXM, a market where he previously programmed “Hot 100” 100.3 WSEA for Cumulus in 2007-2008.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it will launch two new morning shows in Kansas City in January, bringing exciting options for audiences and advertisers and changing the listening landscape for Contemporary Hits and Urban Adult Contemporary fans in Kansas City. KMJK-Magic 107.3 FM will debut its new morning show, Rick and Sasha, nationally syndicated by Westwood One, on Monday, January 7, 2019. The show will air weekdays from 5:00am-9:00am. The following Monday, January 14, 2019, Cumulus Kansas City will debut The Bert Show on KCHZ-95.7 The Vibe. Nationally syndicated by Westwood One, The Bert Show will air weekdays from 5:00am-9:00am.
The Bert Show will bring to KCHZ-95.7 The Vibe listeners lots of laughs and authentic, no-holds-barred conversation about the day’s most talked about topics in the pop culture world. The Bert Show offers a unique blend of lifestyle advice, entertainment news, celebrity interviews, humor, on-air community and candid peeks into the personal lives of the on-air cast. Hosted by Bert Weiss and co-hosts Kristin Klingshirn, Davi Crimmins and Moe Mitchell, The Bert Show considers no personal topic off limits, no matter how uncomfortable. The Bert Show is “Real. Funny. Radio.”
Mike O’Reilly, Program Director, KCHZ-95.7 The Vibe, said: “Blending fun, today’s hit music, and what’s trending now is The Bert Show! Bert’s approach to mornings is exactly the shot of adrenaline Kansas City morning radio needs, and the chemistry of the cast is such a natural fit for The Vibe’s millennial DNA.”
Donna Baker, Regional Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Kansas City, said: “These two significant changes offer Kansas City Urban AC and CHR listeners the best morning radio on the air in their respective formats. I am so proud of our programming team’s collaboration and winning plan to deliver what the audiences of Magic 107.3 and 95.7 The Vibe are asking for.”
