Former “ESPN 1500” KSTP Minneapolis Program Director Brad Lane has joined Good Karma Brands to serve as Program Director of News/Talk 620 WTMJ/103.3 W277CV and Sports “ESPN Milwaukee” 94.5 WKTI/540 WAUK Milwaukee.
Lane previously spent twenty years at KSTP serving as a host, producer, creative director and PD. He will manage content and “content teammate development” at WTJM/WKTI.
He fills the opening created by the exit of former GM/PD Tom Langmyer upon the sale of the stations from Scripps to Good Karma last year. Former Scripps VP/Radio Steve Wexler took the General Manager position at that time with WKTI flipping to Sports on November 1.
Good Karma Brands (GKB) is pleased to welcome longtime radio program director Brad Lane to Milwaukee. Brad will serve as program director of Newsradio WTMJ (620 AM and 103.3 FM) and ESPN Milwaukee (ESPN 94.5 FM and 540 ESPN).
“We are thrilled to welcome Brad to the Good Karma Brands family,” said Steve Wexler, GKB Milwaukee vice president and market manager. “His leadership, vision and creativity will help us continue to grow our news, sports and event marketing brands in Wisconsin.”
Brad joins GKB from Hubbard Broadcasting in Minneapolis, where he spent 20 years in radio as an on-air host, producer, creative director and most recently, program director at ESPN Minneapolis. Brad’s focus at ESPN Milwaukee and WTMJ will be managing content and content teammate development.
“This is a dream role to work with a legacy station like WTMJ and the powerful brand of ESPN Milwaukee,” said Brad. “I’m excited to work with the incredible team and resources available to make our content more engaging, relevant and obtainable on all platforms, along with helping to cultivate and foster development of personalities on all our stations. I’m enormously grateful to Craig Karmazin, Steve Wexler, and all of Good Karma Brands for the chance to lead these content teams and join one of the most innovative companies in the country.”
Brad will join the Good Karma Brands team on February 6, 2019.
