MSG Networks and ESPN’s “ESPN New York 98.7” WEPN-FM New York have announced a multi-year agreement to keep the NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s New York Rangers on the station.
WEPN has served as the flagships of those franchises since 2004 when the station was on 1050. The deal will include the rights to all games and pre and postgame coverage which will also be available on ESPN’s app.
MSG Networks (NYSE: MSGN) and ESPN New York 98.7FM today announced a new multi-year agreement, ensuring that 98.7FM continues to serve as the radio home of the York Knicks and New York Rangers. Since 2004, ESPN New York 98.7FM has provided fans with award-winning radio coverage of the Knicks and Rangers games.
As part of the partnership extension, ESPN New York 98.7FM will broadcast the live games, in addition to full pre-game and post-game coverage for both teams throughout the season. All Knicks and Rangers audio content will once again be available to stream live on ESPNNewYork.com and The ESPN App.
