For the second time in a week, iHeartMedia Miami has looked north of the border to fill a Program Director opening in Miami.
Ross MacLeod, PD of “Jack 96.9” CJAQ-FM Calgary joins iHeart as PD of Classic Rock “Big 105.9” Fort Lauderdale. MacLeod has also programmed “102.1 The Edge” CFNY Toronto and “CJAY 92” Calgary.
MacLeod fills the opening created by Dave Hill’s transfer to Indianapolis last month.
iHeartMedia announced today that Ross MacLeod has been named Program Director for BIG 105.9, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Miami/Fort Lauderdale has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises – both broadcast and digital – encompassing nine stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, MacLeod will be responsible for overseeing ratings, revenue, and digital growth of BIG 105.9 and its online and social brands. He will report to Rob Miller, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia South Florida and Executive Vice President of Hot AC Programming and Strategy for iHeartMedia National Programming Group.

MacLeod was most recently Program Director for Jack 96.9 in Calgary, Canada overseeing on-air, online and social brands. He also served as Program Director for several broadcast stations, including 102.1 The Edge in Toronto, Canada as well as CJAY 92 in Calgary, Canada.
