FCC Report 5/5: Two Houston Translator Apps Dismissed Over Lack Of Retransmission Agreement


FCC Federal Communications Commission Radio AM FM TranslatorElohim Group Corporation’s applications to modify 97.3 K247CP Houston and 107.1 K296HJ Brookshire TX were dismissed after a letter from Jeff Littlejohn, iHeartMedia’s Executive Vice President of Engineering & Systems Integration claiming that neither translator has permission to rebroadcast iHeart’s 99.1 KODA Houston. KODA was listed in both applications as originating station. A similar situation led to the dismissal of a New Jersey translator last week.

FCC Actions

A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking was issued for Xana HD Solutions proposal to allot a Class A on 104.5 in Kahlotus WA.


Skandia LLC has requested the deletion of 106.9 K295BH Gypsum CO.
