People Moves 5/10: Brett Holcomb To Program WRUF

ESPN 98.1 850 WRUF GainesvilleUniversity of Florida Sports “ESPN 98.1” 850 WRUF/98.1 W251CG Gainesville FL has announced the return of Brett Holcomb to the station as Brand Manager. Holcomb previously served as Operations Coordinator before exiting last year to join 89.7 WUSF Tampa as Assistant Program Director. Holcomb previously has served as OM/PD of “Z88.9” WBZC Pemberton NJ and producer at 610 WIP Philadelphia.


Tom Ferguson is returning to Shamrock Communications Alternative “Alt 92.1” WFUZ Nanticoke/Wilkes-Barre PA as Program Director. Ferguson programmed WFUZ from 2013-2017 and has been hosting afternoons at Entercom Classic Hits “Max 102.3” WMQX Pittston.


Crash Poteet has exited his Program Director/afternoon host position at Saga Country 101.9 WPOR Portland ME to fulfill family obligations. Poteet joined WPOR in January 2018 after previously working in Charleston WV, Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa.


iHeartMedia has promoted Shosh Abromovich from Senior VP/Sales to Market President of their Toledo cluster following the move of Kellie Holeman to Greensboro NC last month. Abromovich joined the company out of college in 2008 and worked as an account executive, Integrated Media Manager, and General Sales Manager for their Detroit cluster before moving to Toledo as SVP/Sales in 2017.

iHeartMedia announced today that Shosh Abromovich has been named Market President for the Toledo market, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Toledo has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing seven stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Market President, Abromovich will work closely with the programming, business and sales teams and will oversee the markets on-air and digital programming operations as well as create new business and revenue growth opportunities. She will report to Paul Corvino, Region President for iHeartMedia Detroit.

Abromovich most recently served as the senior vice president for iHeartMedia Toledo. In addition, she also served as an account executive, local sales manager and general sales manager for iHeartMedia Detroit. She began her career as an account executive for iHeartMedia Detroit and is a graduate of Michigan State University.
