Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.
Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Seattle, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Numbers of note for this month:
- The format of the month is Christian AC as multiple stations see huge gains. 91.9 WGTS Washington jumps from a 4.6 to 5.3 good for sixth in the market just ahead of EMF’s entry on 107.3 WRQX. 98.5 KTIS-FM Minneapolis rises to third in the market with a jump from a 5.6 to 6.5. “91.5 The Joy-FM” WCIE Tampa rises from a 3.9 to a 4.9. “99.1 Joy-FM” KLJY St. Louis continues its success with a third place 7.2, but just 0.1 off the market lead.
- Baseball and hockey playoff fever help Entercom News/Talk 1120 KMOX St. Louis from a 5.1 to a tie for the market lead with a 7.3 share. The fast start for the Seattle Mariners sees Bonneville’s “710 ESPN” KIRO rise from a 2.8 to 4.3.
- Broadcast Company of Americas Sports “Mighty 1090” XEPRS San Diego drops from a 1.8 to 1.2 following its sign-off halfway through the monthly. Entercom’s crosstown “97.3 The Fan” KWFN uses the demise and start of baseball season to rise from 0.9 to 1.7 share, while iHeartMedia’s “Xtra 1360” KLSD goes up from a 0.5 to 0.8.
- The Detroit Rock war continues as Beasley Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX retakes the market lead despite a 6.5 to 6.4 drop. Rock 101.1 WRIF drops 4.9 to 4.5, while iHeartMedia’s new 106.7 WLLZ rises from a 3.4 to 3.8.
- In its first partial monthly following its flip to Classic Rock “Rock 92.9“, WBOS Boston holds nearly steady with a 2.8 to 2.7 drop. Beasley sister Country 102.5 WKLB shows a three month growth trend of 3.7 – 4.2 – 4.8.
- Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI Denver plummets from fourth to twelfth overall 5.3 to 4.0.
- Entercom Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS Denver shows a three month rise from 3.0 – 3.8 – 4.6.
- Urban One Urban “92Q” WERQ Baltimore retains its market lead but surges from an 8.3 to 9.8 share.
