Townsquare Media has added Brian Thomas as Operations Manager for its five station cluster in Grand Rapids MI.
Thomas most recently held Program Director duties at Cumulus Country “Kicks 101.5” WKHX Atlanta until his exit in March. He also served as Vice President of Classic Hits Programming and programmed Country “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH New York and Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago during his time with Cumulus. Thomas has also been Vice President of Classic Hits for CBS Radio where he oversaw the return of 101.1 WCBS-FM New York to the format and launched AC “Fresh 102.7” WWFS in the market.
At Townsquare he will oversee a cluster that includes Hot AC “Mix 95.7” WLHT, Rock 97.9 WGRD, Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR, Soft AC “100.5 The River” WTRV, and Urban AC “Magic 104.9” 1140 WNWZ. He will also have oversight of the company’s other Classic Hits stations.
Thomas fills the position held by Tom Cook until his move to Entercom Baltimore as Director of Music Programming in July 2018.
