Allied Media Partners has announced the addition of “The Big Morning Show with Trace & Brad” on “Kansas Country 92.3” KKGQ Newton/Wichita on Monday, June 3.
The move marks a return to the station for Trace Taul, who co-hosted mornings until exiting in January following cuts by former owner Rocking M Media. He has also worked at KHLT, KIBB, KVWF and a previous format iteration of KKGQ during his time in Wichita as well as at stations in Kansas City, Lawrence, and Topeka.
Brad Streeter previously hosted mornings at “100.5 Hank-FM” KVWF and “Kissin 102.1” KZSN. He also has programmed KZSN.
Current KKGQ morning host Miranda will move to new dual role hosting mornings at Rhythmic AC “92.7 The Blast” KWME-FM and nights on KKGQ.
Wichita based Allied Media Partners (AMP) is debuting a new daily morning show on Kansas Country 92.3 (KKGQ). “The Big Morning Show with Trace & Brad” will launch on Monday, June 3rd and will air live from 6 am to 10 am. Wichita radio veterans Trace Taul and Brad Streeter will host the program each weekday morning.
Taul has worked on air for KCJK and KYYS in Kansas City, KLZR in Lawrence, KMAJ and KDVV in Topeka, as well as KIBB and KKGQ in Wichita. Streeter has been on air in the Wichita market since 1990, working on air for KFDI, KZSN and KVWF, among others.
“I would like to thank Matt Baty, Tommy Castor and Martha Triana at Allied Media Partners for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of something special and make local radio fun again,” said Taul. “I’m thrilled to be able to team up with Brad Streeter for mornings!”
“While the locations may change, the game remains the same. I’m really looking forward to getting back around familiar faces,” said Streeter. “Kansas Country 92.3 is really focused on what the true country music fan is after; all the country music you can imagine and a whole lot of fun. Teaming up with Trace Taul for mornings is just icing on the cake.”
Allied Media Partners is locally owned and operated by long time Wichita residents Matt Baty and Tommy Castor. It has been a priority for AMP to bring experienced, local talent on board to their organization and the hiring of “The Big Morning Show with Trace & Brad” is another step toward that goal.
“Allied Media Partners is absolutely committed to providing only the best and most entertaining content and personalities on our radio stations,” said Tommy Castor, COO. “’The Big Morning Show with Trace & Brad’ on Kansas Country 92.3 fits the mold for what AMP is attempting to accomplish in Wichita; dynamic, fun, local morning radio, all while playing Country Music’s Biggest Hits every day. Having Trace and Brad on our team is a huge win for us and I’m excited for Wichita to hear their show each weekday morning!”
With the addition of “The Big Morning Show with Trace & Brad”, current Kansas Country 92.3 morning host Miranda will segue to mornings on sister station 92.7 The Blast (KWME) where she will host “Miranda’s Morning Mess” each weekday morning from 6 am to 10 am. She will also host evenings on Kansas Country 92.3.
