Dennis Jones’ RadioJones is expanding into Vidalia GA with the purchase of Vidalia Communications Corporation for $715,000. The deal will include AC “98Q” 97.7 WTCQ Vidalia, “Sweet Onion Country” 101.7 WYUM Mount Vernon, and News/Talk 970 WVOP/105.3 W287CR Vidalia. RadioJones currently owns seven stations in nearby Dublin and Swainsboro GA.
Ketelsen Radio sells 105.9 KHRS Winthrop MN to John Linder’s Subarctic Media for $71,000. KHRS has simulcasted Subarctic’s Classic Rock 94.1 KXLP Mankato since it signed on in 2008 as part of an LMA.
Farms of Amador applies to transfer the CP of 107.5 KCYF-FM Sutter Creek CA to Blue Mountain Players for the assumption of the $7,825 in unpaid legal fees to attorney Michael Couzens. Blue Mountain Players owns 103.7 KQBM-LP West Point CA, which will be divested if the sale is approved. KCYF-FM applied in July to relocate to 107.9 but that move is predicated on the FCC removing the allocation of the former KDND Sacramento from the Table of Allotments.
