Dismissals
After being issued a Notice of Violation for operating 99.3 WQAN Beulah MI twenty five miles from its licensed coordinates, N Content Marketing’s STA application to operate with two temporary facilities was dismissed as being against FCC rules.
WQAN was granted an STA to operate with 1.8kW/125m from its currently licensed tower after its transmission system failed, however the second STA to use 80w horizontal/180m from the tower of co-owned 101.9 WLDR-FM Traverse City was dismissed with the NOV issued in late July because they were utilizing it already without FCC consent. N Content Marketing sought the second STA to continue to reach Traverse City.
Catholic Radio Network’s application to move 102.3 K272FP Black Forest CO to 104.3 in Colorado Springs due to interference caused to KSPK-FM Walsenburg was dismissed as a major move.
The same circumstance applied to Colonial Radio Group’s application to move 104.9 W285ES Smethport PA to 102.9 with an increase from 10 to 200 watts.
