WQAN was granted an STA to operate with 1.8kW/125m from its currently licensed tower after its transmission system failed, however the second STA to use 80w horizontal/180m from the tower of co-owned 101.9 WLDR-FM Traverse City was dismissed with the NOV issued in late July because they were utilizing it already without FCC consent. The same circumstance applied to Colonial Radio Group’s application to move 104.9 W285ES Smethport PA to 102.9 with an increase from 10 to 200 watts.
