iHeartMedia has promoted Craig Bommer to Market President for its Wheeling and Parkersburg WV properties.
Bommer has served as SVP/Sales since 2016 and previously spent 14 years with the Wheeling Nailers hockey team as Director of Corporate Sales and Vice President of Business Operations. Like yesterday’s promotion of Tracey Baumgard in Huntington WV, Bommer fills the role previously held by Mark Fuhrman as Area President.
iHeartMedia announced today that Craig Bommer has been named Market President for the Wheeling/Parkersburg markets, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Wheeling/Parkersburg has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than ten stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Market President, Bommer will work with the programming, business and sales teams for all station brands to provide quality programming as well as create new revenue opportunities. Bommer will report to Tim McAleer, Region President for iHeartMedia Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Bommer is a marketing and sales veteran and has been in the Wheeling/Parkersburg market for 17 years. He also served as the vice president of business operations for the Wheeling Nailers. He began his career at iHeartMedia in 2016 as the senior vice president of sales for the Wheeling/Parkersburg markets and is a graduate of West Liberty University.
“Craig has gone above and beyond and has truly excelled in his role as Sales Manager for the Wheeling/Parkersburg markets,” said McAleer. “I am excited for Craig to lead and demonstrate his leadership capabilities as Market President by helping to grow each markets revenue.”
“I’m excited to be leading the iHeartMedia Wheeling/Parkersburg team,” said Bommer. “This opportunity is a new and exciting challenge in my career path, and I look forward to working with everyone to help build upon the success each market has achieved.”
