Station Sales Week Of 10/11
On I-45 halfway between Dallas and Houston, KBPC LLC is donating Rock “Smooth Rock 93.5″ KBPC to Houston Christian Broadcasters.
Edward Baker’s Bayshore Communications is donating Christian 840 WKDI Denton MD to his Positive Alternative Radio. That group runs the “Joy-FM” Christian AC network across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. WKDI has already begun running the network programming making it the network’s first station in Maryland.
Tugart Properties is transferring 1150 WSNW Seneca/Clemson SC to the non-profit Toccoa Foundation for no consideration. Both organizations are run by Terry Carter and Douglas Sutton, but with the transfer to the non profit, the station will convert to non-commercial status. WSNW currently serves as the originating station for AC “94.1 The Lake” W231BX Seneca.
Carter & Sutton’s Georgia-Carolina Radiocasting Company is also selling Silent 96.7 WVGC Westminster SC to Augusta Radio Fellowship for $575,000. WVGC is in the process of moving into the Clemson area from Georgia where it was licensed to Tignall.
