At least four on-air staffers have exited Entercom Miami as the company continues to make cuts across its radio operations.
Market stalwart Kimba is out as APD/afternoon host at AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF. Kimba spent two terms with WLYF hosting nights from 2003-2009 and then returned in her current role in 2013. Before joining WLYF the first time she spent 16 years at the Clear Channel cluster of Rock “Zeta 94.9” WZTA, Classic Rock “Big 106” WBGG-FM and Talk 940 WINZ. In between WLYF runs, she hosted afternoons at Cox Hot AC “97.3 The Coast” WFLC.
Jade Alexander departs middays at Classic Hits “102.7 The Beach” WMXJ. Alexander joined WMXJ in January 2016 after a long run in both Miami radio and TV. She co-hosted mornings at CHR “Y100” WHYI from 1990-2001 and hosted middays at “Mix 98.3” WRTO-FM during its time as a bilingual CHR from 2003-2005. She also served as an entertainment reporter and anchor at CBS’ WFOR/WBFS-TV from 1999-2008.
Todd Durkin is out of mornings at “99.9 Kiss Country” WKIS-FM. Durkin moved from nights to mornings earlier this year swapping shifts with APD/MD Tim ‘TC’ Conlon. Durkin also has a long acting resume. Co-host June Knight remains in mornings.
APD/morning co-host Brian ‘The Beast’ London exits Sports “790 The Ticket” WAXY after seven years with the station. He had just moved to mornings in August as part of the revamp of it and WQAM. London also spent a decade at now-sister 560 WQAM and the Miami Hurricanes Radio Network and wrote for a few college sports publications. Co-hosts Brendan Tobin and LeRoy Hoard remain in mornings.
