WWJ Debuts New Anchor Lineup

950 WWJ Detroit NewsradioEntercom News 950 WWJ Detroit has announced that midday anchor Jackie Paige and evening anchor Jason Scott will be teamed in afternoons starting Monday, December 9.

Brooke Allen, who has anchored afternoons solo since the retirement of Greg Bowman in July, will move to the 10am to 2pm slot while continuing to focus on special projects.

Jackie Paige has anchored middays at WWJ since 2013 and has also worked at WJBK-TV in the market. Jason Scott joined the station as evening anchor in 2018 and has also worked at WLEW Bad Axe and WSJM St. Joseph MI.

A new evening anchor will be appointed in early 2020.

Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., today announced a revamped weekday programming lineup for WWJ News Radio 950 (WWJ-AM), Detroit’s news leader. The station will pair celebrated journalists and on-air hosts Jackie Paige and Jason Scott as their new afternoon drive team, effective December 9. Paige and Scott will be heard on air, weekdays from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET.

Subsequently, on-air host Brooke Allen will continue to keep listeners informed on the latest news and breaking stories on the station’s midday drive from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET. Allen will also focus on special projects including her “Difference Maker” feature, which highlights people helping others in the community.

Paige has served as the station’s midday host since 2013. She has also served as an anchor for the market’s FOX television affiliate WJBK-TV. Scott was most recently an evening drive host for WWJ News Radio 950 since 2018.

New WWJ News Radio 950 weekday programming is as follows:

12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.: Jim Matthews
5:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Tom Jordan & Roberta Jasina
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Brooke Allen
2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Jackie Paige & Jason Scott
7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: Rotating host

A permanent host for the evening drive will be announced in early 2020.
