Following the exit of evening host Chris Michaels during iHeartMedia’s layoffs this month, R&B “V103” 102.7 WVAZ Chicago has announced that Premiere Networks’ The Sweat Hotel will move to 7pm-midnight starting today.
The show, hosted by R&B singer Keith Sweat, had been airing on WVAZ in the overnight timeslot.
Premiere Networks announced today that The Sweat Hotel – the #1 nationally syndicated Urban AC evening radio show in the U.S. – will move to the 7 p.m. to midnight weeknight timeslot on iHeartMedia Chicago’s V103 (WVAZ-FM), effective today, January 27. The popular program featuring Sweat’s trademark blend of love talk and R&B slow jams previously aired weeknights from midnight to 5 a.m. on the station.
Syndicated by Premiere Networks, The Sweat Hotel airs on more than 60 stations nationwide and features special guests, live in-studio musical performances, as well as listener confessions, apologies and dedications. For more information, please visit https://thesweathotel.iheart.com/.
“Keith is one of the most creative, prolific, and emotional entertainers I’ve known,” said Derrick D. Brown, iHeartMedia Vice President of Urban Programming, Chicago Region. “He brings these same qualities to his radio show and I’m pleased we’re able to share The Sweat Hotel with a wider Chicagoland audience.”
File this under: “how to make the #1 station in a top 5 market sound like a middling station in market #150”. Greed.
