XEPRS will carry SB NATION RADIO and JAKIB Media Partners’s “Into The Night with Tony Bruno and Harry Mayes” from 9pm to 12am. Bruno and Mayes’ show airs live from 10pm to 1am eastern meaning it will air on a two hour delay on XEPRS. Bruno is known in Southern California for his two stints on 570 KLAC Los Angeles (in mornings and then nights) that would be syndicated by Fox Sports Radio. Bruno and Mayes will also continue to host their afternoon show on SiriusXM’s “Dan Patrick Radio” channel 211.
Into The Night joins afternoon host Scott Kaplan as announced dayparts for XEPRS. The station has also announced a partnership with SportsGrid Radio for programming but no exact shows have been revealed as airing on the station.
THE MIGHTIER 1090am (XEPRS), SB NATION RADIO and JAKIB Media Partners are announcing the “NEW SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FLAGSHIP HOME” of The Tony Bruno Show & his co-host Harry Mayes. For Tony Bruno, it marks a return to the West Coast while reuniting him with a loyal audience of followers, sports stars, personalities and Hollywood’s biggest names. The show will debut this summer and air weeknights, 9pm to 12mid PT.
“I’m Baaaack!,” said Bruno, the legendary King of Sports Talk. “Excited to be back on in Southern California, my second-home. I loved it there and have missed the great fans and am looking forward to hearing from them again and bringing the new show to the SoCal airwaves on THE MIGHTIER 1090 baby!”
“Fifty Years in the making, The Tony Bruno Show is pushing to take over the Radio World” said Joe Krause, Founder/JAKIB Media Partners. “This West Coast partnership with THE MIGHTIER 1090am further validates the insatiable desire by the public to consume great radio; Tony & Harry provide that for millions of sports fans.”
“We’re thrilled to add THE MIGHTIER 1090am to our growing affiliate base,” said David Gow, CEO of Gow Media and SB Nation Radio. “I can’t think of a better way to relaunch an iconic radio station with an industry legend like Tony.”
“Adding Bruno to the relaunch of this historic radio station was a true no-brainer. Tony helped invent the entire Sports Radio genre, and it is only fitting that an icon like Tony is on an icon like THE MIGHTIER 1090am,” said Bill Hagen of THE MIGHTIER 1090am.
