Hubbard Radio has announced that Jim Bryant will be exiting Hubbard Radio and their 2060 Digital division.
Bryant served as VP/Market Manager for the Hubbard Cincinnati cluster from 1981 through 2014 going through multiple owners including Taft, Great American, Citicasters, American Radio Systems, CBS, Entercom, Bonneville and finally Hubbard since 2011. The company launched 2060 Digital in 2012 with Bryant as President as a local digital services agency for Cincinnati before growing it companywide and into non-Hubbard Radio markets including Indianapolis, Nashville, Detroit and Columbus.
Steve Goldstein, General Manager of 2060 Digital and SVP of Digital Sales Strategy for Hubbard Radio, will take over Bryant’s duties.
Jim Bryant announced this week that he is stepping away as President of 2060 Digital and will be leaving Hubbard Radio. Bryant commented, “I’m an entrepreneur at heart and feel like we’ve now built the business to a day-to-day operating level. My goal was to build the business, and I think we did that…and, quite honestly, 44 years in this business is about as much fun as one guy can handle. I appreciate the huge vote of confidence Ginny Morris and Hubbard Radio afforded me, allowing me to stretch out, take smart chances, and surround myself with the terrific talent required to keep moving this business forward.”
Under the leadership of Bryant, Hubbard Radio launched 2060 Digital in 2012. What started as a local digital services agency within Hubbard Radio’s Cincinnati radio group, where Bryant served as VP/Market Manager for 27 years, has grown to a national digital company that works with clients in 25 states. “12 years ago we began to fill a void in the Cincinnati market by offering radio clients social media management services,” commented Bryant. “In 2012 we branded ourselves 2060 Digital, and since that time we’ve grown into a company that offers clients a full complement of digital marketing solutions.”
Hubbard Radio Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Dave Bestler, praised the work of Bryant, “There is no way our digital platform would be where it is today without Jim. His vision and leadership have made 2060 Digital one of the leading digital agencies in each of our radio markets. During the past two years, Jim has focused on expanding 2060 Digital services beyond our radio footprint to new markets, including Indianapolis, Nashville, Detroit and Columbus. His vision has come to life and we look forward to continuing to grow the 2060 business on top of the strong foundation that Jim built.”
Hubbard Radio Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Ginny Morris, commented, “Jim’s contributions and leadership in both the radio and digital portions of our company have been plentiful and appreciated over the years. We thank him sincerely.”
Bryant added, “People make the business, whether it is Radio or Digital. I’ll miss the many wonderful individuals I’ve worked with over the years.”
Steve Goldstein, currently the GM of 2060 Digital and SVP of Digital Sales Strategy for Hubbard Radio, will take over Bryant’s duties.
