Nielsen will remove Sun Broadcasting Rhythmic CHR “Fly 98.5” WFFY San Carlos Park/Fort Myers FL from the ratings panel after the discovery that a household of a station employee obtained and returned May 2020 survey diaries that were included in the May and June Fort Myers monthly ratings.
The May ratings, which saw WFFY rise from a 3.0 share to a 5.1 and the June where it dropped back down to a 4.3 will be reissued on Tuesday to account for the removal of the corrupted diarie. WFFY will also be delisted from the July monthly which will be released on August 11.
Nielsen most recently delisted a station when Beasley’s then “Bubba 98.7” WBRN-FM Tampa was removed twice in 2015 when then morning host Bubba The Love Sponge was caught attempting to manipulate PPM data.
