Premiere Networks’ Elvis Duran and the Morning Show is the latest US syndicated program to expand to Canada.
Duran will debut in mornings on Evanov Communications’ LGBTQ+ “103.9 Proud-FM” CIRR Toronto on Monday, October 5. Duran joins other Premiere distributed morning shows including Brooke & Jeffrey, The Breakfast Club, and Woody Show with Canadian affiliates.
Evanov Communications’ Proud-FM 103.9, the world’s first full-time LGBTQ+ commercial radio station since 2007, announced today the addition of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to its weekday morning lineup. Launching October 5, the Premiere Networks-syndicated show will air Monday through Friday from 6 – 10 a.m. ET. The addition marks the program’s first Canadian affiliate and is a result of Premiere’s partnership with Orbyt Media, Canada’s premier content syndication group.
Elvis Duran and his on-air crew entertain listeners with up-to-the-minute pop culture and entertainment news, celebrity guests, hit songs and regular features such as the gossipy “Danielle Report,” “Three Things You Need To Know,” and the ever-popular prank, “Phone Tap” — all of which have made Elvis Duran and the Morning Show one of the most-listened-to Top 40 morning shows in the U.S. Originating from iHeartMedia’s Z100 in New York, the program consistently ranks No. 1 across multiple demographics and top markets and attracts an audience of more than 6.7 million monthly listeners on nearly 80 stations. The show also airs on iHeartRadio.com, the iHeartRadio mobile app, and The Elvis Duran Channel on www.ElvisDuran.com. For more information, please visit www.ElvisDuran.com.
“When first learning of the opportunity to share our show with Toronto and the world’s Proud-FM fans, my heart skipped a beat,” said Duran. “My husband, Alex, and I have been listening to Proud-FM for quite some time and have always been moved by its energy and spirit. Our show is a perfect fit for this most festive station. We can’t wait!”
“We are very excited about this stage in the evolution of Proud-FM,” said Paul Evanov, President and CEO of Evanov Communications Inc. “Along with a new look, the appointment of a dedicated Brand Manager, Jaret Sereda, many programming elements and features have been added or refreshed. Chief among these is the addition of the world-class ‘Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.’ Proud-FM is the show’s first Canadian affiliate, and we’re confident it will resonate with our audience.” He further added: “While the program’s entertainment value has universal appeal, Elvis Duran on Proud-FM will also sound uniquely Canadian with dedicated local news and surveillance that are up-to-the-minute and integral to Proud-FM mornings.”
