Owner Times Shamrock registered <a href="http://Christmas921.com">Christmas921.com</a> on Wednesday for the station indicating an imminent move to Christmas music before debuting a new format at the end of the year. The Alternative format <a href="https://radioinsight.com/headlines/23007/less-cool-on-the-radio-in-scrantonwilkes-barre/">launched on WFUZ</a> in June 2010 as "<strong>FM 92.1</strong>" and rebranded twice; first as "<strong>Fuzz 92.1</strong>" <a href="https://radioinsight.com/headlines/70540/wilkes-barre-gets-fuzzy/">in 2012</a> and then as "<strong>Alt 92.1</strong>" <a href="https://radioinsight.com/headlines/116745/wfuz-rebrands-as-alt-92-1/">in February 2017</a>. WFUZ also simulcasts on 96.1 W241AZ Clarks Summit and 102.7 W274AO Scranton, which are both fed via 106.9 WEZX-HD2 Scranton. The station had a 0.9 share in the September 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings.
