Midwest Communications Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK Nashville expands its market lead to 2.5 share points with a 9.2 to 9.5 gain. Huff notes that is the highest share ever recorded on that frequency. Cumulus Country “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM trends up to second 5.2 – 6.3 – 7.0, while Midwest AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA holds in third at 6.7.
Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX rides the fast start and COVID issues of the Tennessee Titans to a 2.9 to 5.3 gain, while sister Adult R&B “92Q” WQQK tumbles 6.1 to 4.3.
iHeartMedia’s “Talk 106.1” WTKK Raleigh trends up 6.7 – 7.0 – 7.7 for what Huff notes is the highest share since it flipped to Talk in 2009 and largest on the frequency since 1993. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK remains on top with a 9.0 to 8.5 slide and Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM is third 8.1 to 7.0.
Radio One Gospel “103.9 The Light” WNNL Raleigh trends downward 6.1 – 5.3 – 4.0.
Just like WTKK, iHeartMedia’s “Talk 94.5” WPTI Greensboro rises 5.2 to 5.9 for what Huff notes is the largest share on the frequency since it was Alternative WXRA in 1995. Entercom Adult R&B 97.1 WQMG remains on top 9.7 – 9.3 although its lead tightens with co-owned Variety Hits “98.7 Simon” WSMW second 8.8 to 8.9. Dick Broadcasting Classic Rock “Rock 92” WKRR jumps to third 7.1 – 8.1 – 8.8 for what Huff notes is its highest share since 1993.
Public News/Talk 90.5 KUT-FM remains on top in Austin 10.1 to 10.2. Waterloo Media Variety Hits “103.5 Bob-FM” KBPA holds in second 8.4 to 8.1, while co-owned News/Talk 590/99.7 KLBJ rises 5.5 to 6.0 for third.
Waterloo’s new CHR “93.3 Austin” KGSR fails to do much with its launch 1/4 of the way through the monthly as it drops 1.1 to 1.1. iHeartMedia’s competing “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI drops 4.0 to 3.5.
iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 1130 WISN continues to explode as it trends up 8.6 – 10.2 11.2. Huff notes this is the second straight month it sets a station record for its Talk format with its highest share since it was MOR in 1977.
Good Karma News/Talk 620/103.3 WTMJ is also up at it moves to second 7.2 to 8.0. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT slides to third 8.7 to 7.5, while co-owned Country 106.1 WMIL tumbles 7.6 to 6.2.
The top three in Indianapolis are very narrow. Cumulus Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK remains on top but is down 10.2 to 9.3. Emmis’ pair of News/Talk 93.1 WIBC (9.1 – 9.2) and AC “B105.7” WYXB (8.5 – 9.2) tie for second.
Entercom Adult R&B 95.7 WVKL Norfolk keeps its dominating lead although down 11.6 to 11.3, while iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103 Jamz” WOWI is second 6.6 – 6.3. Max Media AC “92.9 The Wave” WVBW rises to third 4.7 to 5.0.
For the second month in a row, Entercom CHR “Z104” WNVZ Norfolk falls to a record low in the 38 year history of the brand as it drops 2.5 to 2.2.
Cox Media Group News/Talk 104.5 WOKV Jacksonville regains the market lead with a 10.2 to 10.7 gain, while Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ drops 10.4 to 9.5. Cox Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” WJGL surges to third 7.1 to 9.0.
Hubbard Hot AC 97.9 WRMF keeps its dominating lead in West Palm Beach despite sliding 9.2 to 8.9. Sister Classic Hits “Sunny 107.9” WEAT trends up to second 4.8 – 6.0 – 6.9. iHeartMedia AC “Kool 105.5” WOLL falls to third 7.4 to 6.7.
The biggest gainer in West Palm Beach is Way Media Christian AC “88.1 Way-FM” WAYF with a 1.9 to 4.1 bump.
Cumulus Adult R&B 103.5 WRBO remains on top in Memphis 9.6 to 9.1. iHeartMedia’s trio of Gospel “95.7 Hallelujah-FM” WHAL (8.1 – 7.7), Hip Hop “K97” WHRK (7.8 – 7.7) and Adult R&B “V101” KJMS (8.4 – 7.4) follow, however Huff notes that KJMS drops to its lowest share in the PPM era.
