After making five cuts earlier this month related to budgetary issues caused by COVID-19, one of the ousted hosts is returning to Bonneville Sports “710 ESPN” KIRO Seattle in a revised role.
John ‘The Professor’ Clayton, who hosted late mornings from June 2016 until this month, will make daily appearances at 7:15 on Danny O’Neil and Paul Gallant’s morning show and at 4pm with Bob Stelton and Dave Wyman. He will also resume hosting his Saturday morning show from 8-11am, his Seattle Seahawks columns for 710Sports.com, and his “Schooled with the Professor’ podcast. Clayton retained his position as sideline reporter for Seattle Seahawks broadcasts following his layoff as that position comes as an employee of the team.
Prior to joining KIRO, Clayton served as Seahawks beat reporter for the Tacoma News Tribune and spent twelve years as a reporter and radio host for ESPN.
Thank you 710 Espn seattle. I'm back. Missed everybody since a week ago Thursday. Saturday show goes to 8 am to 11 am. Listen and call in. At one point the Saturday show was the highest rated sports show in the country. Let's make that happen again
