Entercom AC “Majic 95.5” KKMJ Austin rises 9.8 to 10.6 to take the lead in what ratings expert Chris Huff notes is the first time the station has led Austin in a non-Christmas music period. Public News/Talk 90.1 KUT-FM slides to second 11.5 to 10.1. Waterloo Media Variety Hits “103.5 Bob-FM” KBPA rebounds 8.7 – 6.6 – 8.5. Two of Waterloo’s stations trend up to fourth and fifth with News/Talk 590/99.7 KLBJ up 4.2 – 5.7 – 6.2 and Regional Mexican “La Z 107.1” up 3.6 – 4.2 – 4.7.
Waterloo Classic Rock 93.7 KLBJ-FM also trends up 2.8 – 3.1 – 3.9 while their Alternative “101X” KROX drops 2.7 – 2.4 – 2.2. Also trending down is iHeartMedia CHR “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI, which drops 3.9 to 2.7.
Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM remains on top in Raleigh with an 11.3 to 10.5 slip. Curtis Media Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB surges up 6.1 – 6.9 – 8.9 to what Huff notes is the highest share for the frequency since it was Easy Listening WYYD in 1981. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK moves up to third 6.8 to 7.0. Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM drops 7.5 to 6.9. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “Talk 106.1” WTKK-FM falls to fifth 7.0 to 6.0.
Curtis Media Classic Hits “Kix 102.9” WKIX-FM trends up 3.6 – 4.3 – 5.2 for what Huff notes is a station record. Both CHRs in Raleigh trend up with iHeartMedia’s “G105” WDCG up 3.2 – 3.5 – 3.9 and Curtis Media’s “Pulse-FM” 96.9 WPLW/102.5 WWPL up 2.4 – 3.0 – 3.6.
Cumulus Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK surges up 6.9 – 7.6 – 9.8 to lead Indianapolis. Emmis AC “B105.7” WYXB holds in second 8.4 – 8.6, while co-owned News/Talk 93.1 WIBC falls first to third down 8.9 to 8.2. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ trends up to fourth 5.7 – 6.8 – 7.2. Radio One Adult R&B 106.7 WTLC-FM trends up to fifth 5.9 – 6.4 – 6.7.
Public News/Talk 90.1 WFYI-FM rises up 4.0 – 5.5 – 5.7 to tie a station high. Emmis Sports “1070/107.5 The Fan” WFNI is up 3.4 – 4.0 – 4.2.
iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 1130 WISN leads Milwaukee while down 11.0 to 9.4. Saga Classic Rock “Hometown Rock 96.5” WKLH is second up 8.3 to 8.7 as that company returns to the public listings. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT falls to third 8.8 to 8.4. Saga Rock “102.9 The Hog” WHQG trends up to fourth 5.9 – 6.5 – 7.1. Good Karma News/Talk 620/103.3 WTMJ places fifth down 6.5 to 6.0.
Trending up in Milwaukee are Entercom’s duo of Hot AC “99.1 The Mix” WMYX (4.3 – 4.4 – 5.4) and CHR “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS (3.6 – 3.9 – 4.2). Moving downward is Milwaukee Radio Alliance AC “B93.3” WLDB (8.5 – 4.4 – 3.3).
Leading Nashville is Midwest Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK up 8.6 to 8.7. Midwest AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA follows 7.0 to 7.2. Cumulus News/Talk “99.7 WTN” WWTN is down slightly 6.8 to 6.7. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “105.9 The Rock” WNRQ drops 7.6 to 6.3 to place fourth. Cumulus Adult R&B “92Q” WQQK (5.9 -5.8) and iHeartMedia Country 97.9 WSIX (up big 4.4 – 5.2 – 5.8) tie for fifth.
Trending upward in Nashville is iHeartMedia CHR “107.5 The River” WRVW (3.7 – 4.2 – 5.2), while Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX slips 5.3 – 4.6 – 3.3.
The lead in Providence narrows as iHeartMedia Rock 94.1 WHJY slides down 10.4 to 9.2 and Hall’s “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK rises up 7.4 – 8.1 – 9.0. Cumulus CHR “92 Pro-FM” WPRO-FM is up 5.4 – 6.1 – 6.5 followed by their News/Talk 630 WPRO/99.7 WEAN 6.1 to 5.9 and AC “Lite 105” WWLI down 7.1 to 5.7.
Public News/Talk “The Public’s Radio” 89.3 WNPN rises up 1.7 – 2.5 – 2.8 for a station record.
Entercom Adult R&B “95.7 R&B” WVKL continues to dominate Norfolk with a 13.7 to 13.4 move. Sinclair Variety Hits “93.7 Bob-FM” WNOB places second 8.2 to 7.9. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103 Jamz” WOWI is third down 6.6 to 6.9. Saga Rock “FM 99” WNOR rises 4.4 to 5.2, while Max Media Country “97.3 The Eagle” WGH-FM slips 5.3 to 4.9.
Max Media AC “92.9 The Wave” WVBW trends up 2.9 – 4.0 – 4.3, while Entercom Hot AC “94.9 The Point” WPTE slips 3.6 – 3.5 – 3.0.
Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ holds onto its Jacksonville lead down 9.4 to 9.2. Cox Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” WJGL rises 8.5 to 9.0 to move up to second while co-owned News/Talk 104.5 WOKV-FM falls to third 9.2 to 8.6. Public News/Talk 89.9 WJCT-FM rises 4.3 – 6.2 – 6.5 for a station record. iHeartMedia Country 99.1 WQIK places fifth up 6.2 to 6.3.
Other gainers in Jacksonville are Cox Soft AC “Easy 102.9” WEZI 5.3 to 6.1 and Renda Country “Gator Country 99.9” WGNE 3.6 to 4.9. Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE slips 3.4 to 3.1 for what is a record low for the format on that signal.
Entercom Adult R&B 97.1 WQMG trends up 8.8 – 10.6 – 11.2 to maintain its lead in Greensboro. Dick Broadcasting Classic Rock “Rock 92” WKRR rises to second up nearly two shares 8.7 to 10.6. Entercom Variety Hits “98.7 Simon” WSMW is up 8.0 to 8.3. iHeartMedia AC “Mix 99.5” WMAG falls 9.6 to 7.6 and Entercom Hip Hop “102 Jamz” WJMH slips 6.2 to 5.7.
Both Greensboro Country stations trend upward as Entercom’s “93.1 The Wolf” WPAW moves 4.0 – 5.6 – 5.6 and iHeartMedia’s “Q104.1” WTQR 4.3 – 4.9 – 5.3.
iHeartMedia AC “Kool 105.5” WOLL surges up 6.4 to 8.5 to share the West Palm Beach market lead with Hubbard Hot AC 97.9 WRMF (8.7 to 8.5). iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Gater 98.7” WKGR moves down 5.7 to 5.4 but rises to third thanks to Hubbard Classic Hits “Sunny 107.9” WEAT falling 8.7 – 6.5 – 4.9. Cox Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ Miami follows up its station record in its home market by rising 3.2 to 4.7 to place fifth in West Palm Beach.
iHeartMedia Gospel “Hallelujah 95.7” WHAL-FM takes the Memphis lead for the first time since December 2014 holding steady at a 9.6 share. Sister Adult R&B “V101” KJMS rises 8.2 to 9.4 to move into a second place tie with Cumulus Adult R&B 103.5 WRBO (dropping 11.8 to 9.4). iHeartMedia Hip Hop “K97” WHRK is fourth 7.2 to 7.1, while Entercom Hot AC “FM 100” WMC-FM rises to fifth 5.2 – 5.6 – 6.3.
Entercom AC “Lite 100.5” WRCH continues to lead Hartford as it moves 14.1 to 13.9. Sister Hip Hop “Hot 93.7” WZMX holds in second 8.1 to 7.4. Public News/Talk 90.5 WNRP remains in third steady at a 6.8. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “105.9 The River” WHCN is fourth 6.4 to 6.2, while Entercom News/Talk 1080 WTIC slides to fifth 6.8 to 6.2.
